Your Business Lacks Systems Needed to Grow

The big idea here is having the right SYSTEMS in place is key to your business success. 

Most business owners spend way too much time working "in" their business instead of "on" their business, I’ve mentioned it before and it sounds cliche, but it's true.

This is important because by adding in a simple process (or processes), you can eliminate up to 94% of failures like lost clients, missed opportunities, and ineffective marketing campaigns using that one simple process over and over again.

Common Business Trap #2
You or Your Business Are Most Likely Seen As A Commodity

A commodity is defined as "an economic good such as a mass produced unspecialized product." 

Another definition is "a good or service whose wide availability typically leads to smaller profit margins and diminishes the importance of factors (such as brand name) other than price"

When I talking about this I am referring to the fact that your potential clients and customers are comparing you to others and will simply buy whatever is the better deal.

If you want to make the income you want, a powerful way to do that is to escape the commodity trap and outshine your competition.

This can be done, by using effective differentiation tools, and by doing so you can empower yourself to have the least amount of competition with the greatest compensation. 

Instead of being seen as a competitor to someone they already work with or know.

Many businesses operate from a "lowest price wins" mentality. 

While this works for some, it's a very quick way to limit your customer base and hinder you from making the money you could have made if you weren't seen as a commodity or something that you could get anywhere.

Just recently I was eating at a restaurant and I asked the waitress, “which would you recommend, the salmon or the steak?”

She looked at me and said, “you can get a good steak almost anywhere, but you can’t get salmon like this.”

Somewhat taken back because we were at a po-dunk highway town in central Utah, I asked, “what do you mean?”

She went on to explain, “the salmon is flown in every other day, we never freeze it, and it has a unique marinade we use to make it taste amazing.”

I promptly requested the salmon and it was exactly as she stated.

In this story, she explained the difference between a steak that I could get anywhere and a delicious salmon that was unique to that restaurant.

Your business should have the capacity to do similar messaging and positioning.

By trying to be everything to everyone you are nothing to no one.
